This band is great switch from the common bands we review here on ModRoc. Bringing back the classic Alternative / Rock band, Buck Cherry is a nice listen for almost any Rock fan. This band came to being the the mid nineties and played events such as Woodstock 1999. They broke up in 2002 only to have the 2 lead members, Josh Todd and Keith Nelson, restart the band yet again in 2005 after the 2 noticed a new vibe while they were performing on the Ontario Live 8 stage. Currently popular on mainstream rock radio stations, Buck Cherry’s hits Everything and Crazy Bitch, have a heavy, driving rhythm that draw’s the listener into the song. I haven’t found many hard rocking bands that can easily pull me in. All in all, Buck Cherry is making a great come back. I look foreword to future albums and to see the evolution of such a great band.

Hi Mod Roc,
I contacted you recently to introduce TEMPOSHARK and haven’t heard back so I wanted to send along the information one last time!
These fashion-forward retro sounding rockers just released their new music video, directed by renowned digital artist Motomichi Natamura, for the track “Blame,” which can be streamed here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2c2I_DiKhsI.
The band also celebrated their US album debut recently with the following reception:
- Came in at #16 most added on CMJ’s in their first week
- Debuted in their second week at #172 on CMJ’s Top 200
- Got 7 out of 10 stars in an NME review “…they could be your favorite band” – NME
- Hit number 20 this weekend on iTunes top 100 electronic albums
- Had prominent placement in it’s first week of release on iTunes, Zune, MSN, Spinner, Rhapsody, Napster, Walmart (I know, they aren’t so cool, but…)and InSound.
Additionally, I have Temposhark merch available for a viewer give-away contest if you’re interested.
Check out http://www.temposhark.com or http://www.myspace.com/temposhark.
If you think they might strike your fancy, l’d be happy to send over some mp3’s for consideration.
Cheers,
Nicole
