As a Sophomore at Northeastern University, Mike Splain created ModRoc nearly 4 years ago as way to discover music content and make it more well known to those on the internet. He works continuously to build his musical knowledge as he majors in Music Industry.
ModRoc came about when there was a dispute over the grouping of the music this site would cover. This site was designed to cover Modern Rock, aka Alt, Indie, and just plain Rock.
